We arrived at a charming ‘Vicar of Dibley’ village situated in the heart of Yorkshire. Orange leaves were carpeting the ground, there was a slight crisp to the air and the smell of wood burning fires was making feel so cosy. We found the bridal party getting ready in the cutest cottage where the Prosecco was flowing and hairspray filled the air. After a hair emergency the bride took a breather outside and she couldn’t have been happier to have stumbled upon one of the neighbours doggos. After petting the dog for a good ten minutes, we were ready to rock and made our way to the Tea Rooms for the ceremony. This venue was romantic and special, perfect for Matt and Sarah!
Byland Abbey was our next stop where we were treated to an owl show which was incredible; this seemed so fitting for Sarah and Matt as they are both Harry Potter fans, magical!
As the guests made their way to the Durham Ox for the reception we took the chance to get some intimate shots of the newlyweds as the sunlight was so beautiful on this autumnal afternoon. We got them stood on the abbey as the sun was hitting them; these are my absolute favourite shots of the day!
We then joined the wedding guests at the wedding reception and after some beautiful speeches and a few tears later, it was time to party and to let the Ceilidh dancing commence! I had never seen a Ceilidh dance before but it was so much fun and the perfect way to end this gorgeous wedding day!
Sarah and Matt are made for each other and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
Big shout out to Lily North Photography for having me along for the day!
